The Scripture and prayer response is a fine example of how prayer proceeds from Scripture. The more you are exposed to examples like this one, the more naturally you will pray in this fashion.
"He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge. His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart, no harm will befall you as the Lord protects you, is with you, delivers and honors you... HE WILL COMMAND HIS ANGELS CONCERING YOU, TO GUARD YOU IN ALL YOUR WAYS" (Psalm 91) (Myrt summed up some key points in Psalm 91 and turned them into this proclamation. Change the pronouns and proclaim it over your own life.)
Heavenly Father Lord God, what words can we offer that are sufficient to thank and praise You for your faithful love and protection, and all You do for and are to us? You are the Alpha and the Omega, our Good Shepherd, our One and Only ALL in all. You are the God who was, and is, and is to come. You are our Abba Father, who has adopted us and made us your own. We place our trust, hope, and futures in You and we will not be afraid. We find refuge under your wings like a little chicken shelters under its mother's wings and feels safe, so we delight in resting in the shadow of your Almighty love, light and protection. All praise to You in the name of Jesus. Amen.
